I was hit by a car 2 years ago. I was on crutches for a year, then a cane and now a limp. I still have dead nerves and bruising but the doctors don't know if it will ever go away.
I was offered (what I originally thought) a substantial settlement sum. When I finally got the check...well, the bills didn't take long to come and eat it away.
Ah well. No one ever said life was fair.
Well, at least you paid all the dang medical bills...
