I have a friend named Nayade, and she always ALWAYS has to repeat the name at least three times when introducing herself, and sometimes she also gives up and calls herself Maria...
As for myself, English-speaking people can't spell or say Pilar properly, and half the time they think Pili is Bill... so I'm Maria most of the time too! (good thing Maria IS part of my name!).

Sometimes I make up fake names that are impossible to spell just to see how the person spelling it reacts.
